The IRF World Rafting Championship Organizing Committee of the City of Banja Luka Was Held Today

The Organizing Committee of the City of Banja Luka for the IRF World Rafting Championship 2022 was
formed today, led by Mayor Draško Stanivoković, and the first session was held with members of the
Rafting Club “Kanjon” which is the technical organizer of the Championship, representatives of the
Rafting Federation of the Republic of Srpska and athletes representing Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Aleksandar Pastir, the Championship race director says that the organization is going according to plans,
but that everyone bears a big responsibility and commitment. He thanked the City Administration for
the support and pointed out that this is one of the biggest promotions of Banja Luka in the world so far,
and called on all relevant departments and services of the City Administration to do their best when it
comes to organization and to send the best picture from Banja Luka into the world.
The Mayor of Banja Luka and the President of the Organizing Committee of the Championship, Drasko
Stanivukovic, pointed out that the City understands the importance of the event and that it does not
have the opportunity to organize world-level events often, adding that all city services and departments
will be available to organizers and citizens.

We remind you that the IRF World Rafting Championship 2022 will be held in Banja Luka and Foča,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, from May 25th to June 1st 2022.
The IRF World Rafting Championship is supported by the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the City
of Banja Luka, the Municipality of Foča, the USAID Sustainable Tourism Development Project in Bosnia
